In the design, we cared about sustainability and energy efficiency from the beginning,active and passive shading is used, adapting the facing of the windows to the cardinal directions according to the time of sunshine;higher interior heights in combination with openings without lintels ensure better circulation of fresh air. By using top-of-the-line building and insulating materials, a comfortable temperature will be reached in the interior with minimal heat transfer and air conditioning requirements.

Instead of the classic layout of corridors and rooms, the Villa is designed as a simple, clean composition of spaces, with a minimum number of corridors and rooms. The central living space consists of a spacious living area with glazing from both sides, connected to the north wing with a master bedroom, bathroom and wardrobe. The south wing on the opposite side consists of two smaller identical bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and wardrobe, plus a visitor's bathroom and utility room. The kitchen is located outside on the covered porch facing east. The west-facing windows are also protected by shading with tilting lamellas, so sitting outside is possible during the intense sunshine as well as in heavy rain.
